What are some of the predictions for 2010 from recruitng thought leaders? Bill Boorman wants to know. Vixen & I wade in with our #1 Fav Prediction. Be sure to tune in and connect with both @Billboorman and @mariejourney when you stop by Twitter.
Marie Journey, spokesperson for On The Go iPhone Recruiting Apps, stars in her first role as “Kelly The Go Girl” very tongue in cheek approach to the hair pulling world of Sourcing and Recruiting. On the Go Search and On the Go Interview are mobile recruiting software applications that make interviewing and search easy! Check out both recruiting applications “On the Go Search” and “On the Go Interview” @ the iPhone App store for transforming the tedious and challenging into easy, quick, and mobile.
All in good fun…yup, it will definitely be a challenge. Geoff Webb, @radicalrecruit, and his computer (MAC) laid down an editing challenge on behalf of TRU London…what is a girl and her super fly, voice activated Laptop (Vixen) to do? Well, hedge my bets, and up the game a bit. Got a shout out for some beta testers prior to launch of the video ~ ping me if you are interested! A good Geek knows when to call on SMEs for backup
Thanks for your support ~ Vixen & I

Behold the history of the Boolean Dance – loved by Sourcers all over the world! When you are hunting for that purple squirrel or the ATS is down or you are on the conference call and a newbie says, “Sourcer…that is like a junior recruiter, right?” just dance, baby.
Let the love and rhythm of sourcing move you!!! Full credit for the creation of the Boolean Dance goes to Kay Kelison, Jim Stroud, and Alecia Sullivan for their inspiration. Also, special thanks to Jenny DeVaugh my partner in the Boolean Dance starring at Recruitfest 2009!
Your head may have hit the keyboard a few times as you were adjusting to the latest version of MS Office and Windows Vista. After you lose the imprints of the keys above your eyes, let’s focus on one of the great positives of all these changes – Speech Recognition. You talk and the computer listens to you and 1) Does what you say 2) Enables you to dictate emails, etc. WOW!
For most, Speech Recognition frees up time and gives you instant cool points with your colleagues/friends/kids. Then there are people that adore this feature, because it allows them communicate without the constant pain of having to use their hands.
How did the discovery of this time saving/pain saving gem happen? As the pain in both of my hands increased, my mobility, decreased, and my overall frustration level was peaking – Jeff at www.PensacolaComputers.com recommended me using that built-in “free” feature on my favorite laptop, Vixen.
If you or somebody you know has chronic hand pain, this feature is priceless!
